Use Ubuntu font in Lucid, Windows and other Linux.

Ubuntu Maverick is now released. It has been released with a very very new thing. Guess what! Yes, it's the Ubuntu font. The best font I have seen ever.

Ubuntu font is a very very nice font. See a screenshot.

Now the Lucidian, if you have decided to wait for the next LTS, though you can try this font on your Lucid. And can use it.

To use this download the font package from below and install it on your system. Then configure it.

How to Install:

Download and extract the package.

Open the terminal and give the command:

sudo nautilus /usr/share/fonts/truetype

Now after opening a window copy the extracted folder and paste it on the window. Close the window and run the command:

sudo fc-cache -f -v

Installation complete. Now it's time to configure.

Go to System>Preferences>Appearance Settings and configure the Font tab shown bellow.

It must look gorgeous. :good:

Now windows users attention please. As these are true type fonts you can also use them on your system. Give it a try.

To use it, Just download the package and unzip it. Now only copy the fonts to C:\Windows\Font folder which you have got from the unzipped folder. And now configure your system.

Waiting for your comments. Specially from windows users. Because I know how pretty good the look of it on a Linux system. But I don't know how it would be look on a Windows system.
